Please join us for the ACIA 2014 Fall Plenary Meeting in Florence, AZ. We will have presentations on Interpreter Ethics & Ergonomics. Additionally, revisions to the Association bylaws will be voted on as well as nominees to the Board of Directors. 


Yvette Citizen, a federally certified interpreter will give a three-hour presentation on interpreter ethics, focusing on freelancers who may work in many different settings and addressing the different standards and dilemmas they may face. This session has been approved for CEUs by California, Colorado, Nevada, NAJIT and RID.

Irene Radillo, also federally certified, will offer a one hour presentation on ergonomics for translators, focusing on steps that can be taken to ensure the well-being of your most important tool as a translator: yourself!

These workshops are only $10 for members and lunch will be included!

We will also be holding elections for the positions of Secretary and 2nd Vice President and, additionally, will hold a vote on amendments to the Bylaws. We request all "Active" members to attend.
